This has certainly been a most interesting exercise, with a few unexpected revelations.
The data has come from the European Union, statistical information. We have built our comparators to take into account the varying working week hours; France on a 35-hour week, Belgium & the UK a 38-hour week, Ireland and Romania a 39-hour week, Georgia a 42-hour week, Turkey a 45-hour week. Where there is no set working week we have calculated data on a 40-hour week in order to reach a fair comparator between countries.
Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Norway and Switzerland do not have minimum wages.
